The Boomer Esiason Foundation is a partnership of Leaders in the Medical and Business Community joining with a core of committed volunteers to provide financial support for research aimed at finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. The foundation works to heighten education and awareness of cystic fibrosis and to provide a better quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis

At the age of seven, during a Hawaiian family vacation, Scott’s grandfather presented him with a small Kodak Instamatic camera, a hand full of film cartridges, and told him to have fun. Some 30 years later he’s still having fun, trudging deep into bamboo forests, climbing lava formations and hanging out of helicopters to capture some of Hawaii’s most dramatic landscapes.

The W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography was established in 1978 following the death of Gene Smith, the legendary American photo essayist and is the most prestigious honor in documentary photography. Each year the Fund recognizes photographers who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to documenting the human condition in the spirit of Smith’s concerned photography and dedicated compassion.
